Austin-area Pumpkin Patches

We’ve got parks from Georgetown to Circle C and mamas from even farther. That being said, we’ve got a whoooole lot of fun packed on that map! We’ve pulled some of our favorite pumpkin patches from all around the Austin area for your pickin’.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm: (North-- Georgetown)

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm has fun for the whole family! Attractions include pony rides, a petting zoo, swings, live music, hay maze, jump pad, and much more. Seriously, this place will keep you busy all day! Be sure to check their Facebook page for any updates due to weather before heading out.

Open Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM – 6PM

Admission: $12/kids (kids under 2 are free), $10/adults (and gets you access to all of their activities)

Barton Hill Farms: (East-- Bastrop)

Every Saturday and Sunday from September 23-November 5th, you can take the gorgeous drive out to Bastrop to enjoy the Fall Festival and Corn Maze! They’ve got a whopping 5-acre maze, pumpkins for picking, farm animals, and tons of activities for all ages. They feature live Texas bluegrass and country music (talk about festive!) and have food, beer, & wine available on site.

Open weekends 10AM – 6PM

Admission: $14/person for ages 3+

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm: (East-- Elgin)

While we normally think of this spot a little later in the season, don’t be fooled! Elgin Christmas Tree Farm has a great Fall Pumpkin Festival Weekend October 14-15 (details here) which features a hayride, mazes, face painting, pumpkin painting, and more. We hear there will be Elgin sausage there, so count us in! Besides the festival, they’re got Farm Fun all October long.

Open Monday – Thursday 10 am – 2 pm; Friday and Saturday 10 am – 5:30 pm; Sunday 12 pm – 5:30 pm

Admission: $7 for ages 2+

Sweet Berry Farm (West-- Marble Falls)

Sweet Berry Farm hosts their Harvest of Fall Fun from September 23rd to November 5th. There is no entrance fee, but keep in mind, activities at Sweet Berry are pay-per-activity. Attractions include hayrides ($3.75/person), a candy corn kid maze ($2.50/person), face painting ($5-$10), horse rides ($4.75), and more! This one is cash or check only, although they do have an ATM on site.

The Jersey Barnyard (West-- La Grange)

The Jersey Barnyard is a true Texas farm experience! If you haven’t been out to this family-owned, fully functioning dairy farm, you’re in for a treat. They host a pumpkin patch from the last week of September through October with a variety of pumpkins, decorative items (such as corn, corn stalks, ceramic pumpkins, fall décor, and fall bedding plants), as well as free pumpkin painting with pumpkin purchase! While you’re there, you can also pick up local (pasture-raised and grass-fed) milk, cheese, eggs, and goods from local artisans.

Cross Plants & Produce: (South-- Kyle)

Located just South of us, in Kyle, Cross Plants & Produce provides an awesome pumpkin patch along side their local produce market! There are tons of spots for family photo ops and you can paint your pumpkin on site ($5). Be sure to take advantage of their unique nursey and produce market while you’re there (we’re loving the pumpkin butter and apple butter!). Open until October 31st or until they sell out—so be sure to check before heading down!

Bethany Lutheran Church: (South-- Slaughter Ln.)

Voted the #1 pumpkin patch in Austin, Bethany Lutheran Church has a fabulous set-up for the whole family. Photo ops, story telling, peddling tractor course (FUN!), food trucks, and more. Open October 13th - October 31st.

Open Monday – Saturday 10AM – 7PM; Sunday 9AM – 6PM

Admission is FREE
